In Ukraine, more than 2 thousand people will raise their pensions: when and how much they will pay

At an extraordinary meeting on October 11, the government supported the decision to establish from January 1, 2022, the minimum pension payment at the level of at least UAH 7,800. Each of the disabled parents, the wife (husband) of the defenders who died in the ATO / JFO zone can count on this.

This is reported by the government portal.

It is the responsibility of the state to protect people whose relatives died defending the independence and sovereignty of Ukraine. This was stated by Prime Minister Denis Shmygal.

“Starting next year, more than 2,000 people whose relatives died for Ukraine, protecting the peace and tranquility of Ukrainian homes, will receive an increased retirement benefit.

Targeted assistance for retirement will be provided to them regardless of whether other family members are already receiving such payments, “the Prime Minister noted.

Who is eligible for an increase in the care pension


Earlier we reported that some categories of Ukrainians who need constant care may receive an additional increase in their pension.

According to the relevant decree of the Cabinet of Ministers, people with group I disabilities, single citizens with group II disabilities who need constant care or have reached retirement age have the right to a supplement of 50 UAH.

Also, the allowance can be received by single people with disabilities of group III who have reached retirement age, and single recipients of seniority pensions who need constant care.

The Ministry of Social Policy also informs that such people can apply for a “home care” service.

It provides assistance with housekeeping, self-care or caring for a child with a disability.

As well as writing applications, complaints, obtaining certificates, other documents, negotiating on the receipt of social and other services, providing technical rehabilitation means, teaching the skills to use them in obtaining subsidies for utilities.

Citizens who are unable to take care of themselves have the right to care at home.

“Typically, this category includes the elderly, people with disabilities or severe illness, as well as children with disabilities from 3 to 18 years old,” – said in the message.

All these functions will be performed by a social worker.
