Wartsila: Rsu, garrison to the bitter end in front of goods exit

(ANSA) – SAN DORLIGO DELLA VALLE, 15 JUL – An indefinite garrison to “ensure that no industrial assets or machinery leave the production site”: this is what the workers of Wartsila di Bagnoli della Rosandra (Trieste) will put in place after the announcement by the Finnish owner of wanting to cease production on the site.

The garrison, the RSU explained today at the end of an assembly, will be set up in front of the goods exit gate and will start today at 4.30 pm to continue in the following days, even on Saturday and Sunday. On working days the garrison is scheduled from 16.30 until 6.30 in the morning. “During the working hours – the RSU specify – the surveillance will instead be internal”. “We have decided not to let the goods leave the plant anymore, a tough fight that will be long. If we are united we will succeed”, pointed out Andrea Dellapietra of Fiom Cgil.

“The assembly – added Fabio Kanidisek of the FIM CISL – was attended by more than 500 people. This initiative and the others that the RSU intend to start have been unanimously approved”. The National Coordination, which met yesterday, “instead asked for the urgent convening of a table at the Mise and the Region”: “we need to give an answer to this company, shameful in its relations, and certainly we must have a policy alongside it that has been treated unworthily by the management, which has no respect for institutions and people “. What is happening, Giacomo Viola of Uilm concluded, “creates alarm for a group of young workers, with children and families, who are denied their future work”. (HANDLE).
