Gas, 4 billion cubic meters more from Algeria to Italy

The additional 4 billion will be delivered by the national company Sonatrach to Eni and other Italian customers. The Algerian news agency Aps writes on its website.

Algeria, writes Aps, has already supplied Italy since the beginning of the year 13.9 billion cubic meters of methane, exceeding the forecast volumes by 113%, and expects to deliver 6 billion cubic meters between now and the end of 2022. additional cubic meters (including the 4 announced today). According to the Algerian press agency, the North African country “has privileged relations with Italy” and “this decision further strengthens the historical ties between the Italian Eni and the Algerian oil group Sonatrach”. Aps recalls that supplies to Italy of Algerian gas were the focus of talks held by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, with his Italian counterpart, Sergio Mattarella, and with the Prime Minister, Mario Draghi.
