Italy starts moving again. This is demonstrated by the observatory on mobility trends of the Ministry of Sustainable Transport Infrastructures. In the second quarter of this year there was a strong growth “for all modes of mobility compared to the same period of 2021, with increases for the various sectors ranging between 3% for air cargo traffic and 573% for cruise services “.
Very strong positive changes are recorded for High Speed (+ 212%) and air passenger transport (+ 447%).
Local public transport is growing, with an increase in users equal to 18%, and road transport of goods (+ 7%) “.
Road transport, together with air transport of goods and traffic on ferries – reports the Mims observatory – exceeds the levels of 2019. Differences of less than 10% compared to pre-pandemic values are recorded, however, for road transport of light vehicles, the demand for intercity rail services and passenger flows on local public transport.
