(ANSA) – ROME, JUL 25 – Investigations are underway by the Postal Police and the IT technicians of the Revenue Agency to ascertain whether the Agency has been the victim of a hacker attack with which approximately 78 gigabytes of data. At the moment, according to what is learned, no evidence has been found but all the investigations are underway at the end of which a report will be sent to the judicial authority. According to experts, the attack would be the work of LockBit, a group of hackers operating worldwide in the activities of ramsonwere and which would have given the Agency a 5-day ultimatum.
The Revenue Agency explains that checks are underway and the intervention of Sogei, the company that manages the technological infrastructures of the financial administration, has been requested. (HANDLE).
