Brembo: half-year profit is 148.9 million, revenues + 28.3%

(ANSA) – MILAN, JUL 28 – Brembo closes the first half with a net profit of 148.9 million euros, up by 17.3% compared to the same period last year. Revenues rise to € 1.75 billion, an increase of 28.3% compared to the first half of 2021.

The gross operating margin (Ebitda) amounted to 305.3 million, a net increase of 13% compared to the 270.2 million in the first half of 2021. The group recorded a positive trend in all the segments in which it operates. The auto sector grew by 27.6%, applications for motorcycles by 44.3%, those for commercial vehicles by 17.4% and racing by 24.2% compared to the first half of 2021.

“The important results of the first half approved today by the Board of Directors are the result of a method and a long-term strategy of the entire Brembo team which, even in such a complex context, has shown strong commitment, giving continuity to the performance of the first three months of the year “, says Matteo Tiraboschi, president of Brembo. “The significant results seen so far – he adds – and the encouraging signals we receive from our reference market give us confidence for the rest of the year”.
