War prices: gas remains above 200 euros, wheat rises

(ANSA) – MILAN, JUL 28 – Futures on the price of gas remain above 200 euros per megawatt hour in the Amsterdam square (-0.1% to 205 euros) after the new squeeze on flows to Europe started yesterday by Gazprom. The price of wheat continues to rise (+ 2.1% to $ 880 for hard wheat in Chicago) pending the agreement between Russia and Ukraine for exports from the Black Sea ports to prove itself.
Oil also rose (+ 1.9% to 99.1 dollars for wti and + 1.4% for brent to 108.2 dollars) after American inventories recorded the most significant decline since May and the president of the Fed , Jerome Powell, indicated that at some point the pace of monetary tightening will have to slow down.
The Fed’s ‘signaling’ on rates also supports gold (+ 0.4% to $ 1,741 an ounce) and other commodities, which are hoping for positive effects on the economy.
