Webuild: half-year revenues fly to 3.87 billion (+ 24%)

(ANSA) – MILAN, 29 JULY – Webuild closes the first half of the year with revenues up to 3.87 billion, with an annual growth of 744 million equal to 24%. Net profit amounted to 64 million, an increase of 103 million compared to the first half of 2021.

The gross operating margin (Ebitda) rises to 251 million, with an increase of 33%. Webuild records “solid commercial performance and solid financial results, ahead of the program demonstrating the Group’s resilience,” explains a note. 2022 guidance confirmed.

Since the beginning of the year, the new contracts acquired or projects for which the group was the best bidder, amounted to a total of € 8.1 billion. The order backlog at 30 June 2022 stood at 47.2 billion, of which 38.5 billion relating to construction, covering approximately 95% of target revenues for 2022-2024, well balanced in low-risk geographies such as Italy, Central and Northern Europe, the United States and Australia.

On the employment front, in the last year, Webuild recorded an increase in the workforce of about 10 thousand units, with 80,000 direct and indirect employees. Webuild continues in the path of decarbonization and integration of ESG factors, in particular on safety and the environment. In the three-year period 2019-2021, greenhouse gas emissions were reduced by 336 thousand tons. (HANDLE).
