(ANSA) – ROME, AUGUST 02 – “It may seem like a purely technical step”, but it is not, because today “a qualitative leap” is taking place in the prevention of accidents at work: with these words the Minister of Labor Andrea Orlando, thanking the vice president of the Conference of Regions Michele Emiliano, frames the announcement, made today, during a press conference, of the definition of the collaboration path that Inail will start with the Regions and autonomous Provinces, with the intent to further implement the information flows already exchanged with the Institute on data relating to the trend of accidents and occupational diseases.

Today, he says, is “a step to look at with some regret for not having done it before”, given that the Sinp (National Information System for Prevention) was provided for by a 2008 decree, however “we are aware that this possibility of building a database “happens” in the light of current technological developments on artificial intelligence “. For Orlando, moreover, with this initiative that comes to life “that sort of ‘jealousy’ of the Public Administration data is broken”, a “reluctance”, he explains, which, once set aside, “allows for intelligent and qualified inspections”.
