In the event of multiple births, the duration of the leave, which also applies to the adoptive and foster father, is increased to 20 working days. Parental leave compensated at 30% for employees is equal to three months for the mother and three months for the father (not transferable to the other parent) to which are added three months that can be taken alternatively for a total of nine months up to 12 years of the child’s life. In the event that the applicant has an individual income up to 2.5 times the minimum allowance (equal to 524 euros for 2022), he will be entitled to an indemnity of 30% also for the other months of leave that can be requested (overall has the right up to six months for the mother and up to seven for the father in the event that he abstains for an entire or fractional period of not less than three months for a maximum of 11 months for the couple).
