(ANSA) – ROME, AUGUST 13 – Ten days of compulsory leave for the working father paid at 100% and an increase from six to nine months for the optional leave that can be indemnified with 30% of the salary within the 12 years of life of each child: these are some of the innovations that will come into force from today on parental, maternity and paternity leave provided for by legislative decree n. 105 of 30 June 2022. Inps recalls this. In the case of multiple births, the duration of the leave, which also applies to the adoptive father and foster care, is increased to 20 working days. It can be used from two months before the presumed date of birth up to 5 months after the birth of the child and in case of perinatal death of the child.
Furthermore, self-employed women are granted a daily allowance also for the periods prior to the two months before childbirth, in the case of serious complications of pregnancy or persistent morbid forms which are presumed to be aggravated by the state of pregnancy, on the basis of medical examinations carried out by an ASL doctor.
