Stock market: calm Europe awaits the US, Milan weaker (-0.6%)

(ANSA) – MILAN, AUGUST 19 – Few movements on the stock markets of the Old Continent, with operators who are waiting above all for signs from the US economy and the next moves by the Federal Reserve to contain inflation.

After being the best yesterday, the weakest stock exchange at the moment is that of Milan, which falls by 0.6% with the Ftse Mib index. Down by 0.3% Frankfurt and Madrid, cut by 0.2% in Paris, on parity between London and Amsterdam. With gas for now calm even though at very high levels of around 240 euros per megawatt hour, Moscow prices are down below one percentage point.

The spread between German BTPs and Bunds fluctuates around 223 basis points, confirming a moderate tension on all European government bonds. In Piazza Affari, there were weak banks between Bper and Fineco, which fell by more than 2%. Sales also on Tim, which drops two percentage points below € 0.22, not far from its lows.
