In Ukraine, prices for vegetables have decreased – the reason was the frost, which is approaching. Now farmers are in a hurry to sell their crops as quickly as possible.

Manufacturers are in such a hurry that traffic jams are formed. One of these was spotted in front of a farmer’s wholesale market in the village of Velikie Kopani, Kherson region.
If back in September a kilogram of tomato cost 35-50 UAH / kg, now prices have dropped significantly:
- red tomato – 14-22 UAH / kg;
- pink – 20-25 UAH / kg;
- yellow – 20–28 UAH / kg;
- black – 24-30 UAH / kg.
In just the last two days, the corn has fallen by half. As early as October 23, according to comments.ua, corn was sold at UAH 4 apiece, but now – at UAH 2. At the end of September, eggplants were sold at UAH 18–35 / kg. And now they are already 0 15-16 UAH / kg. The Helios variety is slightly more expensive – 25 UAH / kg.
The prices for cabbage have also dropped, now you have to pay for it:
- 18–20 UAH / kg – for color;
- 30–40 UAH / kg – for broccoli;
- 5 UAH / kg – for white cabbage;
- 8 UAH / kg – for stuffed cabbage;
- 9 UAH / kg – for Peking;
- 10 UAH / kg – for red cabbage;
- 10–12 UAH / kg – for a young woman;
- 80 UAH / kg – for Brussels.
Other vegetables also fell in price. Potatoes were sold at UAH 6 / kg, and now they cost UAH 5.5–6 / kg. Carrots: 6 UAH / kg versus 6.5 UAH / kg. The beets cost the same. Onions can now be bought for 6-7 UAH / kg, and earlier – for 8-8.50 UAH / kg.
Cone-shaped peppers cost 12-24 UAH / kg. And cuboid – from 15 UAH / kg (for green) – up to 45 UAH / kg (yellow).
