On October 27, the State Property Fund sold the First Kiev Machine-Building Plant JSC (Bolshevik) for UAH 1.42 billion.
Prime Minister Denis Shmygal wrote about this in Telegram.
The “big privatization” has started. The state will receive almost UAH 2 billion from the sale of the Kiev Bolshevik plant. The sale price at the auction is UAH 1.43 billion and the investor will pay about UAH 400 million on tax debts, ” – wrote Shmygal.
General Commerce won the privatization auction. It agreed to buy the plant for UAH 1.42 billion. The starting price was UAH 1.389 billion.
The State Property Fund said that the buyer has the right to transfer the production capacity of the plant to its branch in Zhashkov (Cherkasy region).
What is known about the buyer?
The company was registered in 2018 in Kiev, its authorized capital is 4 thousand hryvnia. She is engaged in non-specialized wholesale trade. General Commerce is associated with the UFuture group of Vasily Khmelnitsky and Andrey Ivanov.
Founders – Vladimir Dolgopolov, ZNIKIF Laram System JSC and AB Pilar Holdings Limited (Cyprus). Director – Igor Khizhnyak.
Now General Commerce has 10 days to sign the contract, as well as 30 days to pay the amount and obtain the approval of the Antimonopoly Committee. After that, 100% of the shares will be transferred to the buyer’s account.
In 2021, seven large state facilities will be put up for auction in Ukraine. This became possible after the large privatization was unblocked in the country, which had previously been stopped for the duration of the quarantine. The list of enterprises “for sale” includes:
- “First Kiev Machine-Building Plant” (“Bolshevik”);
- United Mining and Chemical Company (OGHK);
Recall that on August 31, 2021, an auction was scheduled for the privatization of the United Mining and Chemical Company (OGHK), which should become the first object of large-scale privatization. Participation of Ukrainian and foreign investors was expected in the auction.
