Of the 415 deputies in the Verkhovna Rada, 396 received a 100% bonus to their official salary for January for “labor intensity.” On average, the amount of payments per deputy reached 48.8 thousand hryvnia.
The amount of payments includes the salary itself, a 100% salary supplement and variable payments – for an honorary title, for an academic degree, funds for vacation, sick leave or business trip. This was reported by “Ukrainian Pravda” with reference to the response of the apparatus of the Rada upon request.
Among the people’s deputies who received the largest payments are the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk – UAH 78.9 thousand and the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Foreign Affairs Oleksandr Merezhko – UAH 69.1 thousand.
Of the 19 deputies who did not receive an increase in January, 17 did not receive any payments for January at all. People’s deputies from the banned in Ukraine HSE – Igor Abramovich, Oleg Voloshin, Taras Kozak, Natalia Korolevskaya, Renat Kuzmin, Viktor Medvedchuk, Yuriy Solod, Andriy Derkach, Larisa Bilozir, Oles Dovgy, and Olga Stefanishyna – have been spared their mandates.
As noted in the material, UAH 19.4 million was allocated for all payments to people’s deputies in January. At the same time, this is almost two times more than in January 2022. In the same period of that year, 10.3 million hryvnias were spent from the state budget.
GLOBAL HAPPENINGS reported earlier that the state budget of Ukraine received more than UAH 2.7 billion from the gambling business. This figure takes into account both license and tax payments.
