Ukrzaliznytsia launches a new train to Hungary: timetable

“Ukrzaliznytsia” from November 2 resumes the running of the passenger train No. 33/34 Mukachevo – Budapest via Chop and Zakhon.

The train will depart daily from Mukachevo at 12:30 and arrive in Budapest at 18:37. From Budapest, the train will depart at 7:23 and arrive in Mukachevo at 15:30.

Tickets are already on sale, but they can only be purchased at the train station ticket offices. And to enter Hungary, you need a biometric passport / visa, medical insurance valid in Europe, financial security.

In addition, a Ukrainian or Hungarian vaccination certificate is required to cross the border. Or a negative PCR test received no later than 72 hours at the time of entry.

New rules of “Ukrzaliznytsia”

On October 21, new quarantine rules came into force, which do not allow traveling by Ukrzaliznytsia trains without vaccination or negative PCR test.

We also wrote that Ukrzaliznytsia on October 1 in the Prozorro system announced a tender for the purchase of 80 new suburban and regional trains to renew the fleet. The company called it the most ambitious renovation in the years of independence of Ukraine.
