Ukrainians are warned about the increase in electricity tariffs: how to pay less

In Ukraine, electricity tariffs may increase, so citizens will have to pay more. At the same time, consumers can save. For this you need unplug each charger after use and reduce the power consumption of devices in sleep modeespecially TVs, computers, game consoles, etc.

Experts also advise endure washing and washing dishes in dishwashers overnight. In addition, the washing machine spends more energy on heating water. Therefore, starting it at a lower power will help save money, for example, for washing at 30 or 40 degrees, and not at 60-90. If the house has electric heating, then it is recommended to turn it off in the morning and in the evening, transferring the heating to the night.

It is also recommended to replace conventional incandescent lamps with energy-saving ones. These are fluorescent lamps or LED lamps. Energy-saving lamps consume about 80% less energy than traditional ones, and last 8-10 times longer. Therefore, their acquisition pays off quickly enough, and there are no unnecessary costs.

What should be turned off in the morning and evening?

To reduce power consumption and reduce the load on the network, the following electrical appliances should be turned off during peak hours:

  • heater;
  • boiler;
  • warm floor;
  • traditional incandescent lamps (an alternative is to replace with LED ones);
  • washing machine;
  • air conditioner;
  • electric stove.

And before the full-scale war, the cost of electricity production was higher than the established tariff. Now the cost of 1 kWh should be at least twice as much, experts say.
