Shmihal announced personnel changes in the Cabinet: Fedorov will receive new powers, several ministers will lose their seats

Minister of Education and Science Sergei Shkarlet, Minister of Strategic Industries and Industry Pavel Ryabikin will be fired from the Cabinet of Ministers. At the same time, Mikhail Fedorov, Deputy Prime Minister of Digital Transformation, will actually receive new powers in a new position.

The Prime Minister wrote about this on his Telegram page. So, at a meeting of the Servant of the People (decisions on the dismissal and appointment of ministers are made in parliament), they decided to appoint Oksen Lesnoy instead of Shkarlet. At the same time, Alexander Kamyshin will take the place of Ryabikin.

Fedorov will be engaged in a number of other areas, in addition to digitalization. His future position is Vice Prime Minister for Innovation, Development of Education, Science and Technology – Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.

What is known about future ministers

Oksen Lesnoy – Candidate of Philosophical Sciences in Philosophical Anthropology and Philosophy of Culture. For 19 years he has been the director of the National Center “Small Academy of Sciences of Ukraine”. 2012 became a laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine in the field of education.

Lesnoy’s father is a philosopher and human rights activist Vasily Lesnoy. Mother – teacher Vera Lisova-Gritsenko.

In September 2020, together with the President of the Minor Academy of Sciences, Stanislav Dovhyy, he initiated the creation of the first Museum of Science in Ukraine. At first, the structure was supposed to be placed in the infamous “plate” near the Lybidska metro station in Kyiv, but due to a number of scandals, the museum was decided to be moved to VDNKh. At the beginning of the war, he volunteered for the 95th brigade of the Air Assault Troops.

Alexander Kamyshin in 2005 he graduated from the International Financial University. 2007 – Kiev Polytechnic Institute named after Igor Sikorsky.

From April 2012 to December 2019 – Member of the Supervisory Board of Portinvest and Lemtrans. From July 2011 to 2012 he was the publisher of Latifundist Media.

From January 2020 to 2021 – Managing Partner of Fortior Capital, specializing in investments in infrastructure and the agricultural sector. Since 2021 – Advisor to the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov.

On August 11, 2021, the Cabinet of Ministers appointed Alexander Kamyshin acting. Chairman of the Board of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia”. Since March 24, 2022 – Chairman of the Board of Ukrzaliznytsia.

On February 27, 2023, Oleksandr Kamyshin resigned from the position of Chairman of the Board of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia. On March 3, 2023, President Volodymyr Zelensky appointed Oleksandr Kamyshin as his adviser.
