Naftogaz mistakenly sends payments for thousands of hryvnias even to those houses that are not connected to gas. This may happen due to problems with taking into account the consumption of blue fuel.
Energy expert Svetlana Golikova wrote about this case on her Facebook page. She personally received a payment for almost two thousand hryvnias for a house in the Chernihiv region, which is not connected to gas. In this case, the owner of the house is a member of the family. “The house is not connected to the gas supply. In general,” she said.
Oleg Popenko, an expert in the field of housing and communal services, also reported about such cases. “And I can say with confidence that this is happening in many areas. I have already written about illegal payments in the Sumy and Kyiv regions,” he said on his Telegram page.
If you have received a payment for unused gas, you must contact Naftogaz with a request to cancel the illegal payment. If the company ignores the request, you can file a complaint with the NEURC (they accept complaints both by phone and in writing). In addition, government hotlines also record all possible violations.
Previously, Naftogaz did not take into account consumption. However, once this function is passed to them, errors can occur. Subsequently, the company can correct them, but for this, consumers must report errors.
As GLOBAL HAPPENINGS wrote earlier, in Ukraine in 2023 prices for a number of utilities can be increased. The decision to raise the price of water from April 1 will be taken by the NEURC. At the same time, gas and electricity tariffs depend on the government.
