In particular, Article 13 of the decree provides – it is emphasized – that companies in the textile, footwear, fashion and sectors in crisis in which layoffs were prohibited until 30 October can request 9 weeks of layoffs (Cig) for Covid. . For companies that have up to 5 employees and those in commerce, services and tourism, or companies that use the Cig in derogation where layoffs were prohibited until October 30, they can ask for 13 weeks of Cig Covid. In both cases, if companies ask for the Covid Cig they cannot fire for the duration of the Cig otherwise layoffs are possible. Furthermore, the prohibition of dismissal does not apply in cases of: bankruptcy, liquidation and cessation of activity, of a company union agreement for incentives to leave unless there is a transfer of company or company branch.
