Ukrainians will soon have to pay taxes for their apartments: the amounts are named

Ukrainians until July 1 will receive receipts for payment of property tax. You need to pay for apartments with an area of 60 square meters and houses with an area of 120 square meters.

This is stated in the message of the State Tax Service. The real estate tax rate is set by local governments depending on the type of objects and their location as a percentage of the minimum wage established on January 1 of the reporting year, and cannot exceed 1.5 percent per 1 square meter.

Since in 2023 the tax is charged for the reporting year 2022, the tax rate is calculated based on the minimum wage established on 01/01/2022, which amounted to 6,700 hryvnia (therefore, the maximum rate per square meter cannot exceed UAH 100.5).

So, for example, an individual with an apartment in Kyiv with a total area of 65 square meters. The tax amount is calculated as the product of the total area of the apartment, reduced by 60 sq. m and the tax rate approved by the decision of the Kyiv City State Administration. In particular, for apartments in Kyiv, the tax rate is 1.5 percent (UAH 90.0 per square meter).

Tax calculation:

(65-60)*100.5 = UAH 502.5

For reference. If the taxpayer owns an object (objects) of residential real estate, including its share, the total area of which exceeds 300 square meters (for an apartment) and / or 500 square meters (for a house), the amount of tax increases by UAH 25,000 per year by each such object of residential real estate (its part).

As GLOBAL HAPPENINGS wrote earlier, Ukrainians also have to pay 18% additional income. For example, if you received a fee for an independent professional activity.
