Work: tomorrow goldsmiths strike, flyers in Montenapoleone

(ANSA) – MILAN, 03 NOV – The employees of the goldsmith shops will cross their arms tomorrow to urge Federorafi to renew the contract that has expired for over a year. This was announced by CGIL, CISL and UIL who for the initiative foresee a flyer in via Montenapoleone in Milan, one of the main sacred places of luxury in Italy.
“Federorafi’s salary increase proposal – explain the trade unions – is absolutely unacceptable”. “The wages of workers are lower than both those of metalworkers and those of the textile / clothing sector – they explain – and to convince the counterpart to discuss decent increases, a strike was called for Thursday 4 November in all companies in the sector” .
“For eight hours a day we produce luxury items – reads the leaflet that will be distributed tomorrow – but our salary has remained at stake. This is why we demand the renewal of our national employment contract which has expired for over a year”. (HANDLE).
