(ANSA) – ROME, NOV 03 – Go ahead, in implementation of the NRP, to the allocation between the Regions of 3.6 billion for interventions for the development and strengthening of rapid mass transport (subways, trolleybuses and tramways) and the assignment of 836 million for the development of regional railways. The outlines of two decrees of the Minister of Sustainable Infrastructure and Mobility, Enrico Giovannini, were approved by the State-Regions Conference and the Unified Conference. Green light of the Unified Conference – Mims said – also to 1.3 billion to metropolitan cities and municipalities with more than 100,000 inhabitants for the purchase of non-polluting buses and vehicles.
The Unified Conference also approved € 700 million as compensation for the lower tariff revenues recorded in the years 2020-2021 due to the health emergency. In support of local public transport companies penalized by the restrictions induced by the pandemic – it is explained in a note – the Unified Conference has agreed to the decree scheme that distributes 700 million euros to compensate for the lower tariff revenues recorded in the years 2020- 2021, as highlighted by the database of the Observatory on LPT policies. A further 200 million will be distributed by 31 December 2021 to meet the companies that will provide data by 5 November 2021. (ANSA).
