Diesel fuel has fallen in price in Ukraine

“Tax on gasoline” increase

At the same time, from July 1 in Ukraine, the value-added tax (VAT) on fuel will be returned to the pre-war level of 20%. It currently stands at 7%. At the same time, according to the head of the Parliamentary Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy Daniil Getmantsev, the tax cut did not affect prices.

“I believe that lowering these rates was a huge mistake. It did not affect the price of fuel in any way. … It led to a white market? No! Illegal barrels grew like mushrooms after the rain,” he explained.

As GLOBAL HAPPENINGS reported, experts advise Ukrainians living in small towns to refuel at large gas stations. There is much less risk of getting low-quality fuel.
