Grain prices in Ukraine have risen: how much is wheat, barley and peas

While the cost of wheat, barley and sunflower was growing, corn and soybeans fell

Prices for major grains and oilseeds rose. As of November 5, only corn and soybeans fell in price. Rapeseed and peas have not changed in price at all.

This is evidenced by data from Tripoli.land.

The following crops have risen in price:

  • Wheat, 2nd class – 8462 UAH per ton (+ 28 UAH per day);
  • Wheat, grade 3 – 8412 UAH per ton (+32 UAH);
  • Barley – 6868 UAH per ton (+25 UAH);
  • Sunflower – UAH 18,154 per tonne (+ UAH 23).

The cost of crops was calculated at the rate of UAH 26.19 / dollar.

As of November 1, 7.1 million hectares of winter grain crops were sown, or 90% of the forecast:

  • Wheat sown 6.1 million hectares, or 91% of the forecast;
  • 844 thousand hectares of barley were sown, or 83% of the forecast;
  • Rye has been sown on 157 thousand hectares, or 98% of the forecast.

Also, 1 million hectares of winter rape were sown in Ukraine, which is 99% of the forecast.

Recall that the yield of grain crops in 2021 increased by 18% compared to last year. As of August 19, farmers harvested more than 31 million tons of grain, which is 11% more than in the entire period of the previous year.
