It became known where the oil reserve of Ukraine will be stored: Shmyhal’s statement

The government today, May 26, approved a list of underground structures, where accumulated oil, gas, other substances and materials will be stored. This will make it possible to equip and maintain in proper condition reliable storage facilities that are unattainable from attacks by the terrorist country of Russia and other threats.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmihal wrote about this on his Telegram channel. “We turn eleven organizations of the State Reserve of Ukraine into state-owned enterprises. This is the first step towards their modernization. Modernized storage facilities will help Ukraine create strategic reserves for the coming decades,” the head of the Cabinet of Ministers said.

The prime minister added that the maximum accumulation and effective preservation of reserves, both in wartime and in the long term, is one of the strategic tasks of the government.

Earlier it was reported that Ukraine will create minimum reserves of oil and petroleum products (MZNN). Volumes must be covered by at least 90 days of net average daily imports or 61 days of average daily domestic consumption.

Also, an electronic reporting system is now being launched, which will track all movements in the oil market, said the head of the Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy of the Verkhovna Rada Daniil Getmantsev (Servant of the People). “We must quickly go through all the procedures in order to move on to the stage of practical creation of the MZNN,” the people’s deputy noted.

GLOBAL HAPPENINGS wrote earlier: according to the forecast of the analyst of the specialized publication “Naftorinok” Oleksandr Sirenko, prices for gasoline and diesel fuel at gas stations may decrease in Ukraine in the near future. So, the average price at gas stations can be 42-43 UAH/l.
