In Ukraine, the average pension is over UAH 97.7 thousand. This is the only group of pensioners whose payments are not limited.
This is stated in the PFC report, which is at the disposal of GLOBAL HAPPENINGS. A total of 3,639 judges receive pensions (according to the law, a lifetime payment). For comparison, there are 10.69 million pensioners in Ukraine. Within the Pension Fund, the cost of judges’ pensions is negligible, but this is the only group that receives special payments.
The fact is that, according to the law, all other Ukrainians cannot receive a pension in the amount of more than 20.9 thousand hryvnias (10 living wages for a pensioner). At the same time, the judges defended their right to an unlimited amount of payment in court. Also, the general rules for assigning pensions do not apply. They receive pensions in the amount of a part of the salary of judges who continue to work. The rest of the Ukrainians receive payments according to a formula that does not allow them to receive high payments.
The average pension in Ukraine, according to the latest data, is 5238 UAH. The average old-age pension (excluding pensioners who retired under special laws) is UAH 5,144.
It should be noted that in June pensions were increased for Ukrainians who continued to work on a well-deserved rest. By law, once every two years they have the right to recalculate taking into account a new indicator of experience.
As GLOBAL HAPPENINGS wrote earlier, about half of 60-year-olds in Ukraine will not be able to receive pensions on time. We are talking about increasing the requirements for seniority.
