In Germany, for a thousand euros, you can buy a car, which in Ukraine will cost about five to six thousand euros. True, a Ukrainian who wants to buy a car in an EU country and use it at home will have to pay an additional several thousand euros for customs clearance.
Edition “Autocentre” made a selection of cars that can be bought for a thousand euros in Germany. And GLOBAL HAPPENINGS calculated how much customs clearance of such cars would cost.
Ford Focus 2000-2002
In Germany, such a car costs about 1000 euros. If you want to buy this car in Ukraine, you will have to pay 3000-5000 euros. The bad news is that for import to Ukraine for customs clearance you will have to pay about 1940 euros. That is, as a result, the car will cost the same 2940 euros plus the cost of a trip from Germany to Ukraine.
Opel Astra 2000-2002 release
In Germany, such a car costs about 900 euros on average, although you can find cheaper if you wish. In Ukraine, you will have to pay about 5,000 euros. The bad news is that you will have to pay 1,548 euros for customs clearance. As a result, a car from Germany will cost 2448 euros plus shipping. And it’s still less than the price in Ukraine.
Mercedes-Benz W210
The Germans sell such a car for 1100 euros. True, you can find cheaper (for 800 euros). Ukrainians who want to buy such a car in their native country will have to pay up to 6,000 euros. And for customs clearance of a car imported from Germany – 2150 euros.
BMW 5 E39
In Germany, such a car costs the same 1000 euros. A car in poor condition will cost 600 euros. Such a car is offered to Ukrainians in the domestic market for 6000-7000 euros. For customs clearance will have to pay 2152 euros.
