The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) exposed the scheme of stealing money from Ukrtatnafta. According to them, Mikhail Kiperman, a member of the supervisory board of the company and partner of billionaire Igor Kolomoisky, belongs to it.
This was reported by the press service of the SBU. At the initiative of Kiperman, they say in the department, 600 million UAH in equivalent was withdrawn from the accounts of Ukrtatnafta. On February 24, 2022, Ukrtatnafta transferred almost UAH 600 million to a controlled European company, which were provided to another supplier to pay for the previously chartered 84 thousand tons of crude oil.
By the time of the fraud, this raw material was already in the Odessa port, it should have been sent to the Kremenchug refinery. To implement the transaction, the former top manager of Ukrtatnafta created a “clone agreement”, in which he changed the details of the payee. Thus, the organizers of the scheme transferred money to a controlled company instead of paying off the real oil supplier.
The suspicion was drawn up under three articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine: – Part 5 of Art. 191 (appropriation, embezzlement or possession of property by abuse of official position); – part 3 of Art. 28, part 1, art. 200 (illegal actions with transfer documents, payment cards and other means of access to bank accounts, electronic money, equipment for their production); – part 3 of Art. 28, part 1, art. 366 (official forgery).
Mikhail Kiperman is hiding from justice abroad. In this regard, the issue of putting him on the international wanted list will be decided. Comprehensive activities were carried out jointly with the Bureau of Economic Security during the procedural leadership of the Office of the Prosecutor General.
As GLOBAL HAPPENINGS reported, earlier prosecutors returned land on the banks of the Dnieper River under the illegal property of Oksana Marchenko, the wife of the leader of the banned Opposition Platform for Life party Viktor Medvedchuk. The area of the plots is 9.5 hectares, the cost is more than 204 million UAH.
