Until the middle of the day on June 2, repair work continued. “We will be able to restore the city’s water supply within a few days,” the water utility said.
At the same time, they warned that when water appeared in the taps of city residents, you can’t drink it. “Water will not be supplied to drinking quality, but only suitable for household needs,” the company said.
Those few Nikolaev residents who are still supplied with water under low pressure are asked pick up stock. Water supply to these consumers may also be turned off.
“Now there are still houses in which with low pressure, but water is supplied. So we recommend residents to draw in containers,” the message says. Also, the water utility is advised to always have a supply of water while the war is going on in Ukraine.
