Debt of Ukrenergo for services of generating companies increased to UAH 16.5 billion

The Kharkiv CHP-5 company filed a lawsuit against NPC Ukrenergo to recover UAH 152.4 million of debt on the balancing market, according to the consulting company ExPro.

The claims are substantiated by the defendant’s violation of obligations under the Agreement on Participation in the Balancing Market No. 0695-04113 dated March 13, 2020, in terms of settlements.

The Economic Court of Kyiv opened proceedings on the case. A preparatory meeting is scheduled for June 19.

As noted, the total debt of NPC Ukrenergo to generating companies on the balancing market increased from UAH 16 billion in March to UAH 16.5 billion. in May.

Earlier, Director General of PrJSC Ukrhydroenergo Igor Syrota reported that Ukrenergo’s debt to the company for services on the balancing market continues to grow and has already increased to UAH 5.5 billion.
