In Ukraine, electricity was cut off in dozens of cities: what happened

In Ukraine, dozens of cities have been de-energized due to strong winds and rains. 11 settlements in the Kyiv region remain completely without electricity, another 35 – partially there is no electricity. In addition, there is no electricity in 45 settlements in the Chernihiv region.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Energy, there is also no electricity for 36,000 families in Kyiv. In the Donetsk region, there is no electricity in 34 settlements due to shelling. Also, there is no current for some consumers in Sumy, Zaporozhye, Kharkiv and Kherson regions.

Currently, repair teams are working in these settlements in order to restore power supply. There is no shortage of electricity in the system. Generation fully covers the needs of the population in current.

Earlier, Energy Minister German Galushchenko said that there was no reason to introduce planned shutdowns. The crashes occur because the system has become more vulnerable due to RF attacks, but the repair work will solve this problem.

The Ministry of Energy also promised not to raise the electricity tariff until the end of the year. And in a situation where there are no additional problems, tariffs can be left at the current level until the end of the next heating season (April 2024).

Earlier, GLOBAL HAPPENINGS wrote that Ukrainians could cut the current tariff by 50%. To do this, you should switch to a two-zone tariff.
