(ANSA) – ROME, NOVEMBER 09 – The Safety tour initiative starts again after the stop linked to the covid emergency to talk about safety at work in companies, municipalities and schools.
An increasingly topical emergency to which this initiative aims to respond through the commitment of Matteo Mondini: surviving a very serious injury at work, he has chosen to transform a dramatic event into a real mission. After having undergone over 37 surgeries, including the implantation of a cardiac pacemaker and the amputation of his right arm, today he has become a testimonial for safety at work. Mondini thus started the safety tours: events that involve companies, municipalities and schools to raise awareness on the issue of safety in the workplace through his testimony. After the pandemic he left and stopped in Valeggio sul Mincio in the province of Verona at Everell SPA, in Cinisello Balsamo at Flint Group, and then went to Turin at the FPT plant where for 7 days and over 57 sessions he met over 2500 workers. The safety tour did not stop and Matteo also met more than a thousand workers from Bonfiglioli Riduttori SPA both at the Calderara di Reno site and at the Forlì site.
The last stage took place last week at the FPT industrial in foggia where the workers, in addition to listening to his testimony, learned the principles of behavioral safety and made safety exercises with the virtual reality.
The next engagements will be at Bonfiglioli Riduttori SPA in the Rovereto plant, he will also be a speaker for a huge event with the South-East Railways and at the Poli SPA of Carmisano in the province of Cremona.
“You work to live not to die” is Mondini’s motto.
