Stock Exchange: Milan weak with Europe, oil down, sluggish cars

(ANSA) – MILAN, NOV 18 – Piazza Affari weakens towards the end of the morning in a context of caution on the part of the European stock exchanges while investors measure themselves with the risks associated with the resumption of infections from Covid and with fears of a rise in the inflation without however retreating from the highs achieved in recent weeks.

The Ftse Mib lost 0.2%, weighed down by Recordati (-2.5%), Eni (-1.6%) and Tenaris (-1.4%), which were affected by the drop in oil prices. Weak MPS (-1.4%) on indiscretions, judged premature by the Mef, of an increase of 3.5 billion euros while Ferrari (-1.4%), Bper and Buzzi (both -1%) are struggling.

On the other side of the list stand out Diasorin (+ 1%), Tim (+ 0.8%) and Nexi (+ 0.7%). Mediobanca is not very moving (+ 0.4%), with the stock market cautious on the hypothesis of an increase in the share of De Vecchio over 20%, while Generali sells 0.3%, with De Agostini evaluating the exit from the capital of Leo.

In Europe, London is down 0.2%, Frankfurt is up by 0.1% and Paris is unchanged. Energy stocks are down (-1.7%), in the wake of the drop in oil, while those linked to tourism and travel are advancing (+1.4%). Cars weaken after the October registrations data, with Renault (-0.6%) and Volkswagen (-0.5%), while Continental slips (-4.2%) after the removal of the CFO for his involvement in the investigation on the dieselgate.
