Stock Exchange: Europe worsens after Covid tightening, Milan -0.5%

(ANSA) – MILAN, NOV 19 – Sensitive current of sales on the equity markets of the Old Continent: after a slight increase, the European stock exchanges fell below par (London -0.1%, Paris and Frankfurt -0.2 %, Madrid -0.8%) with the clear worsening of the Covid situation and operators awaiting the decision of US President Biden on the confirmation of Jerome Powell as Fed presidency or on the appointment of Lael Brainard as the new number one of the central bank.

Milan, which is also looking at the worsening of the spread between BTPs and Bunds above 120 basis points, falls by 0.5% with the Ftse Mib index and accuses the slip of Leonardo which drops by more than 2.5%.

Mps is down by more than two percentage points, correcting again the lows, Stellantis, Intesa, Atlantia and Unicredit lose about one and a half points. Recordati is holding on, growing by over two percentage points. (HANDLE).
