Gazprom’s ultimatum
On November 22, the Russian monopoly Gazprom said that ready to disconnect Moldova from gas supplies due to non-fulfillment of the contract.
The next payment for blue fuel was not received on time and Gazprom delivered an ultimatum – if the money is not received within 48 hours, the Russian Federation will disconnect Moldova from gas supply.
The country’s current debt is $ 74 million, the head of the company “Moldovagaz” Vadim Cheban even stated that he applied to the government for a loan.
Vice President Andrei Spinu said he plans to explain to Gazprom the reason for the delay in payments and ask for a delay.
