Foreign trade: Istat, non-EU exports + 3.2% month, + 3.9% year

(ANSA) – ROME, NOV 25 – In October 2021, a cyclical increase for both flows is estimated for trade with non-EU27 countries, larger for imports (+ 3.2%) than exports (+1 , 5%). Istat notes it. On an annual basis, exports grow by 3.9% while imports grow by 30% with a growth in energy of 132.8%.

The estimated trade balance in October 2021 is +3.587 million, down compared to October 2020 (+6.996).

The surplus in the trade of non-energy products also decreased (from +8,624 million for October 2020 to +7,468 million for October 2021).

In the first 10 months of 2021 – reports Istat – exports grew by 17.1% compared to the same period in 2020 while imports increased by 24.8%. The balance in the first 10 months was positive for 38,896 million compared to 200,267 million for exports and 161,370 for imports. Net of energy, the balance between January and October 2021 is positive for 68,175 million. (HANDLE).
