Will the tariffs in payment systems go up? How much will we pay for light in December

Like last month, no increase in electricity prices is planned for Ukrainians. And the tariff depends on the volume of consumption.

How much does light cost?

Since October 1, the Cabinet has fixed electricity tariffs for Ukrainians. As a result, for several months now, some consumers have been paying much less for light.

Prices are set:

• for households consuming less than 250 kW * h, tariffs will be reduced to 1.44 UAH per 1 kW * h (now 1.68 UAH);
• for those who consume more than 250 kW * h per month, tariffs remain unchanged – 1.68 UAH per 1 kW * h.

These prices will be valid until April 2022.

Memorandum on non-increase of tariffs

“Naftogaz”, the Association of Cities, the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities signed a joint memorandum, which provides for non-increase in tariffs for heat and hot water. Thus, until the end of the heating season, tariffs for the population will not increase.

But the tariff for the delivery of electricity does not fall under the memorandum of non-increase, is not limited by anything, and suppliers have already inflated prices.

Note that according to the memorandum, the state will transfer and send to local budgets personal income tax in the amount of 4%, additionally at least UAH 11 billion. And some communities that will not be able to finance the “excess” are provided with additional assistance.

Earlier we reported that despite the reduction in electricity tariffs for Ukrainians, who consume up to 250 kW * h per month, this heating season, about 600 thousand will have to pay twice as much for electric heating.
