Monday. Chinese investors sue Ukraine

Outraged investors are demanding that Ukraine be recognized as a country that has violated a bilateral investment agreement.

We are talking about the Motor Sich aircraft engine manufacturing enterprise, which the Chinese company tried to buy out and almost acquired a controlling stake. Then the procedure was blocked by President Zelensky and later it was reported on the nationalization of the company.

Tuesday. The Verkhovna Rada adopted a “tax” law

People’s Deputies in the second reading adopted Bill No. 5600, providing for amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine, if Zelensky signs it, From January 22nd, the following rules will be introduced:

  • a minimum tax liability for land is introduced;
  • a tax is introduced on income from the sale of agricultural raw materials in the amount of more than 12 minimum wages;
  • the minimum land area of ​​a farm has been reduced;
  • four groups of payers engaged in poultry breeding are excluded from single tax payers;

Also, the procedure for taxing the sale of real estate is changing and leaving the country is limited in case of non-fulfillment of the tax debt.

Wednesday. Pensions for Ukrainians increased

From December 1, some Ukrainians are waiting for innovations, including an increase in pensions. So, the minimum pension is now 1934 UAH, and the maximum – 19 340 UAH… The increase in pensions is associated with an increase in the cost of living from UAH 2,294 to UAH 2,393.

For pensioners, it is set at the level 1934 UAH, instead of 1854 UAH In November. It is also noted that if a person retired by age, having reached the required length of service, his pension will be at least 2600 грн.

For women, the minimum required seniority is 30 years, and for men, 35.

Thursday. The Verkhovna Rada adopted the State Budget for 2022

At the plenary session, the draft State Budget for 2022 was adopted. 268 deputies voted for.

According to this document, the country will live the whole year, the total costs reach 1 trillion 521 billion hryvnia, and income – 1 trillion 332 billion hryvnia… This time the deficit was UAH 189 billion, that is, 3.5% of GDP.

According to Finance Minister Sergei Marchenko, the money will come to the budget as a result of corporate income tax, domestic and import VAT, excise and environmental taxes, as well as an increase in rent for the use of natural gas and oil.

People’s Deputy David Arakhamia explained that the money of the so-called economic passport of a Ukrainian, the introduction of which was announced by the president, cannot be spent on everything
