More than 80% of Ukrainian migrant workers who choose Poland for work most often go there because of a higher salary than they could be paid in Ukraine.

Tomas Bogdevich, General Director of the Gremi Personal employment company, spoke about this.

“Whether Ukrainians will continue to choose Poland as a country of labor migration will depend on whether Poland’s western neighbors will simplify the employment process and offer higher salaries,” – says Bogdevich.

Since the New Year in Poland, the minimum hourly wage rate has been raised. Therefore, on average, Ukrainians will earn 2 thousand UAH more in Poland.

Now at Polish factories and factories, Ukrainian workers are paid 25-40 thousand hryvnia and more.

By the way, despite the fact that the number of legally working Ukrainians in Poland is a record, there are still not enough workers. Back in the fall, Poland was experiencing an acute shortage of workers.

Which countries do Ukrainians choose to earn?

The leaders among the directions of labor migration from Ukraine are Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic. Among men, the most popular destinations are Britain and Canada, and among women – Italy and Spain.

According to the survey, 37% of Ukrainians would go to Germany to work, 31% to Poland, 20% to the Czech Republic, Italy 16%, Canada 11%, Great Britain 10%, USA 9%, Spain 7% , to Israel and the Russian Federation – 6% each.

Despite the fact that Poland is on the list of leaders where Ukrainians would willingly go to work, many difficulties arise on their way. In particular, due to lack of knowledge of the language. As we wrote earlier, on the eve of the New Year, Ukrainians are increasingly sending applications for vacancies in Poland, where work experience is not needed.
