The Ukrposhta company took the second place in the world in the quality of express delivery according to the quarterly rating of postal operators PricewaterhouseCoopers.
The head of the company Igor Smelyanskiy announced the achievements on the Facebook page.
“Second place in the world, or there are 3 things that you can watch forever: how the fire burns, how the water runs and how serious people in expensive suits are discussing on the evening broadcasts whether a state-owned company can be successful,” Smelyansky wrote.
According to him, when Ukrposhta received the right to deliver EMS (Express Mail Service), Ukraine ranked 181 and just two years later it rose to the second.
However, Facebook users also decided to play a joke and left a lot of mocking comments under Smelyansky’s post.
“There are 3 things that you can look at forever: how the fire burns, how the water runs and how Ukrposhta delivers the parcel 050504181 ..”, writes Vitali Zhyvaha.
Another man called Ukrposhta “humorists”, some began to complain about the work of the branch workers.
“Great news, unfortunately, the express parcel has been traveling across Ukraine for 7 days and, attention, it arrives in a completely different city,” say the Ukrainians.
New shipping rates
From December 1, 2022, Ukrposhta is forced to change delivery rates at the request of the National Commission, which carries out state regulation in the field of communications and informatization.
So, since December, tariffs have increased by an average of 15%:
- sending a letter or postcard will cost 15 UAH instead of 13;
- sending a light parcel (up to 250 g) will cost from UAH 22.5 instead of UAH 19.5;
- the recommended shipment will cost 11 UAH instead of 9.5;
“Today” also figured out why “Ukrposhta” may not accept your parcel through the box and how the tariffs of “New mail” will change from January 1.
