Christmas: Clai group donates 400 thousand meals to the Food Bank

(ANSA) – IMOLA (BOLOGNA), 20 DEC – For the Imola Agricultural Workers Cooperative, today the Clai Group, celebrating Christmas means donating 400,000 meals throughout Italy to people who are going through a difficult phase in their life.

An initiative in the name of solidarity, made possible thanks to the now historic collaboration with the Food Bank, which last March saw Clai donate 590,000 meals to celebrate her 59th birthday.

Active on the meat and cured meats market with the Clai and Zuarina brands (Parma raw ham, produced in Langhirano) and in the milk and cheese sector with the Faggiola brand, the Imola-based food company controls the entire supply chain, from the fields to the table. and mainly operates in two factories: in Sasso Morelli di Imola (Bologna) dedicated to the production of cured meats and in Faenza (Ravenna) where the transformation of beef and pork is carried out. To support the initiative, just go to supermarkets and delicatessens, between 8 December and 30 January 2022, and buy any Clai-branded product. Furthermore, in order to further expand the audience of possible solidarity buyers, the Amazon channel of the Imola-based coop is also involved: all the purchases made online will in fact fall within the project started with the Food Bank, immediately knowing the quantity of equivalent meals that the single purchase will generate.

“We have always conceived the social commitment of the cooperative as a commitment that goes beyond the benefit of our members.

We are open to what is around and the collaboration with the Food Bank represents an intervention of great social and solidarity “, said the president of Clai, Giovanni Bettini. (ANSA).
