(ANSA) – ROME, DEC 21 – The economic growth of industry turnover continues in October, for the fifth consecutive month. According to Istat data, in October the turnover of industry, net of seasonal factors, marks a cyclical increase of 2.8%, with growth both on the domestic market (+ 3.4%) and abroad ( + 1.4%). On the average for the August-October quarter, the increase was 2.8% compared to the previous three months (+ 4.0% domestic market + 0.7% abroad).
Adjusted for calendar effects (21 working days against 22 in October 2020), total turnover grew by 16.9% over the year (+ 19.4% domestic market, + 12.1% abroad).
Istat shows very marked trend increases for energy (+ 49.0%) and intermediate goods (+ 28.0%), increases for consumer goods (+ 10.9%) and capital goods are more contained (+ 4.2%) (ANSA).
