In the period January-November 2021, the tax revenues ascertained on the basis of the criterion of legal competence amounted to 441,477 million euros, marking an increase of 47,831 million euros compared to the same period of 2020 (+ 12.2%). The Mef communicates it. The income from IRPEF amounted to 181,211 million euros with an increase of 10,605 million euros (+ 6.2%). VAT mainly contributed to the increase in indirect taxes (196.8 billion) with an increase of 22.1 billion euros (+ 21.1%). The month of November recorded a positive change in tax revenues equal to 7,385 million euros (+ 13.1%), determined by the increase in direct tax revenues of 5,373 million euros (+ 17.2%) and indirect taxes of 2,012 million euros (+ 8.0%). “The comparison between the first eleven months of 2021 and those of the corresponding period of 2020 still shows an evident character of inhomogeneity due to the lockdown and the consequent economic measures and suspension of payments aimed at addressing the health emergency” explains the Mef.
