Liya Akhedzhakova is one of those cultural figures who is not afraid to openly confront the Kremlin. Even before the invasion of Ukraine, the artist joined the collection of signatures against Russian aggression.
Now Akhedzhakova publicly appealed to the occupiers, who attacked Ukraine three days ago. She stated that the Moscow authorities use the military as cannon fodder.
You are still very young and maybe you do not understand one thing: if an order is given to attack Ukraine, then you will go there not as defenders of Russia, but as cannon fodder, which will shoot all and sundry. Do you really want to shoot abroad, knowing that your relatives may be standing there, with whom you drank tea and ate cake ten years ago? Do you really want to kill people who are only defending their land, their family, their home?!, the actress turned to the military.
Akhedzhakova added that Russian generals would not go to Ukraine in a tank. They will sit and watch what is happening from Moscow, “sitting in a warm apartment, on a soft bed and with delicious apple jam in their hands.”
You are not dying for Russia, but for Putin and his oligarch friendswho have been plundering and ruining our country for two decades, who, at the first danger, will simply, in Russian speaking, leave you and your families thousands of kilometers from your home! And the only thing for which you now get a good salary and all kinds of “goodies” is mainly because there is simply no one else to carry out their vile, selfish, criminal plans that violate any laws, conventions, norms of International law, military laws and laws of conscience!
Liya Akhedzhakova asked the military to change their minds before it’s too late.
You must not do what is not necessary. And the real people will thank you if you stop being watchdogs for a pack of idlers and criminals and stand up for the defense of the homeland, and not for the conquest of foreign territories, the artist added.
Recall that many Russian stars urge Putin to end the war in Ukraine. Thus, Andrei Makarevich was one of the first to address the Kremlin.
However, it does not do without disinformation, which is sown by some Russian celebrities. In particular, Dmitry Pevtsov called the Ukrainians “Nazis” and called the war “genocide.”
