The host of the channel “Ukraine” Alexei Sukhanov, during a live broadcast with the talk show studio “Moldova Speaks”, spoke about his life in Kyiv during the war, which has already lasted eight days.
I am currently in Kyiv. I experience all the moments of the Russian attack here, because this is my home. We have a curfew, sirens sound, planes fly over us, air raid alerts sound. Nights are spent by people in the porches or basements of their houses. But since I don’t have a basement, I go out to the entrance,” Sukhanov shared.
As the presenter explained, Ukraine is on the side of good and has done nothing wrong to anyone, has not seized anyone’s territory. According to Sukhanov, “our valiant warriors defend their country. Many volunteers and volunteers, each of them demonstrates not only their courage and position, but also their boundless love for their country.”

Sukhanov also commented on his renunciation of Russian citizenship.
I am a citizen of Ukraine, but I was once a citizen of Russia. Even a few days before the Russian invasion of Ukraine, I announced that I was renouncing my former ties with Russia. I don’t want to know anything about a barbarian country, an aggressor country that puts in the first place only a leader who is incapable of anything but destruction. Therefore, I ask you never to say that I was a citizen of Russia. I am a citizen of Ukraine and for me the past does not exist– said Alexei Sukhanov.
