I have people who help me, for which I am very grateful to them. Of course, I couldn’t do it myself. But it’s hard with psychologists now, there is no time for this, so I’m a bit of a psychologist myself. I am tempered and uplifted by meeting people who have been saved. But it also happens that humanitarian corridors do not open, and this is a personal defeat for me. I’m used to winning. I look into the eyes of those people who believed, came under shelling, but it was not possible to take them out, and I can only understand how they feel when they return to the basements, so I continue to fight for their lives,” Irina Vereshchuk comments in an interview with the Ukraine channel .

The politician clearly knows how to deal with despair and shared her own effective life hacks.

In civilian life, I was engaged in Thai boxing. I came to classes twice a week, put on gloves and beat the coach (laughs). It helped to release negative energy.

Now I work out with sports equipment every day – I do push-ups from the floor, squats, and do various exercises. All in order to keep the body in the right physical tone. We must understand that the war continues and, unfortunately, will continue, there may be phases that are much worse than we experienced at the beginning. We must do everything in the best way and then it will become easier. Also, don’t overestimate your expectations. Victory will come when we endure it with our own hands, with our tears, sweat and blood. We will forge it ourselves, and therefore we need to temper our spirit.
