The Ukrainian jury included five members – Vadim Lisitsa, Andriy Kapral, Irina Fedyshyn, Andriy Yatskiv and Lukyan Galkin. It was they who graded the participants of Eurovision 2022. Due to the fact that the jury did not evaluate the contestant from Poland, they are now severely criticized by Ukrainian viewers and stars.

Head of the jury Vadim Lisitsa decided to publicly announce the results of voting by Ukrainian judges.

On Facebook, he wrote that the entire voting process took place under the close supervision of a lawyer and all jury members familiarized themselves with the voting rules in advance.

Not a single member of the jury, and even more so the head, had no opportunity to influence each other’s decision. Therefore, Poland and other countries received the same marks that they deserved in the opinion of each of the judges. No one got paid for this.. Nobody had any preferences or other incentives,” Lisa said.

He also stressed that, as the head of the jury, he is ready to bear responsibility for the democratic choice made this year.

Singer Irina Fedyshyn also decided to comment on the odious scores. On Instagram, she admitted that the situation with Poland is also unpleasant for her.

And if I had been on the side of the audience vote, I would have been so furious too. Because, despite the fact that Eurovision is still kind of an apolitical contest, it’s hard to step back when your country is at war and Poland is more of a helping hand. When I saw such results, it was a shock for me too. the artist explained.

Fedyshyn also published a photo of her profile, which shows how many points she personally gave to the Polish singer. The star noted that it is forbidden to make public her votes, and for this she can be fined.

Each member of the jury put points from himself in the form, and has no right to discuss this, because this is fixed legally under the supervision of a notary and is held accountable. Then all the points are summed up by the organizers into numbers. How did it happen that Poland got 0 points? I do not know the answer to this question.

Andrey Kapral in one of the interviews, like his colleagues, he noted that the jury did not have the right to share opinions and say who gave what grade.

It is difficult for me to talk about this, because I spent a significant part of my life in Poland. I have many friends there and felt and know their support even before the war. We had a different history with them, now we have a common history. To everyone who is now slightly manipulating this issue, I want to say: I am not ashamed of the marks that I gave to our friends (Poles, – Ed.). But I can’t figure out how the result is calculated. I didn’t have any underground desire not to support the Poles,” Krapal explained.

As the artist added, “he is responsible for himself and he is not ashamed of himself.” But he cannot say anything about other members of the Ukrainian jury.
