Dancer Max Chmerkovsky does not forget about his Ukrainian roots even after many years of living far beyond the ocean. The choreographer admitted that first of all he feels like a Ukrainian, and only then a person who grew up in America.

To help his people, Chmerkovsky, together with his father Alexander, created a charitable foundation in the United States called “Baranova27”. This name for the organization was not chosen by chance – it was at this address that the dancer’s family lived before emigrating to the United States.

The Chmerkovsky Foundation actively helps Ukrainian refugees in different parts of the world, and Chmerkovsky reports all purchases and projects on the organization’s Instagram account.

So, according to the choreographer, now the main task is the construction of a modular town for IDPs in the Lviv region. International companies are ready to join the project.

To do this, Max and Alexander Chmerkovskiy held talks with the Ukrainian Ambassador to Turkey, Vasily Bodnar, on the Baranova Village project in Ukraine.
