The dog that was beaten by Lyudmila Uspenskaya will have a serious operation

On May 30, Russian singer Lyubov Uspenskaya beat her neighbor’s dog. The artist hoped that no one would know about this story, but the incident quickly became public knowledge.

According to Uspenskaya’s neighbor, designer Anna Kaufman, the singer chased a three-month-old French bulldog puppy that ran out of the site and allegedly wanted to bite the singer’s Yorkshire terrier. Lyudmila ran into the neighbor’s yard, but, finding only an old dog there, she began to beat her with the handle of the leash. Anna Kaufman’s lawyer was Alexander Dobrovinsky. According to the Telegram channel Zvezdach, Dobrovinsky said, that the dog is going to have major eye surgery.

The dog, which was beaten by Uspenskaya, is to undergo an operation, because an eye is injured there. After that, we will decide what the requirements for Uspenskaya will be, because there is honor and dignity, there is cruelty to animals, there are a lot of things. According to Russian law, a dog that has been beaten and is about to have an operation is equated to an asset, so besides the fact that this is cruel treatment, this is not moral damage at all. This is the damage that has been done to a person’s asset,” Dobrovinsky said.

The video of the beating of the dog could not be filmed. A video has appeared on the Web in which Ouspenskaya swears at a neighbor and threatens her.

Note that Lyudmila Uspenskaya was born in Kyiv and often gave concerts in Ukraine. Moreover, Ouspenskaya stated that she does not consider herself a Russian singer, because she has American citizenship. However, during the full-scale war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, she did not dare to voice her position or condemn the Russian occupiers for their atrocities.
